Ei-Series Horizontal CO2 Storage Units for International Customers

The Ei-Series CO2 storage units are designed for International Customers.  The Ei design incorporates low profile saddles and strategic nozzle locations that reduce the overall height of the unit.  These units can be shipped via a 20' or 40' open top container (unit will be slightly over height) saving thousands in shipping costs. These efficient units are manufactured in sizes from 3.75 tons (3.4 MT) to 30 tons ( 27.2 MT) capacities.

General Specifications:

  • Pressure vessel: Constructed in accordance with Section VIII, Division 1 of the ASME Code for Unfired Pressure Vessels for a maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) if 350 psig (24.1 bar). 2" NPS & under tank nozzles are schedule 80 stainless steel.
  • Seismic:  Per UBC 1997 seismic zone 4, importance factor of 1.25, soil profile types Sa, Sb, Sc,  Sd or Se, 2km or less to a a type A seismic source. Design to other Codes available on request.
  • Piping: Schedule 80 seamless pipe, 2,000 lbs (907.20 kg) forged steel fittings, ¼ turn stainless steel isolation.
  • Safeties: Dual ASME approved direct spring operated, sized for unconfined outdoor installation.  Larger capacity relief valves will be required for installation when located indoors or in a fire area.
  • Insulation: 4" (10.16 cm) Polyurethane
  • Outer jacket: .063" (0.16 cm) Aluminum
  • Vaporizers Optional: Steam, water or electric, capacities to 6,000 lbs/hr (2721.60 kg/hr)
  • Liquid level gauge: Differential pressure indicator type with 6" (15.24 cm) dial
  • Pressure gauge: 0 - 600 psig with 6" (15.24 cm) dial
  • Electrical Characteristics: Models 3.7581Ei and 681Ei use 208/220 V, 60 Hz, 1 Phase. All other models use 208/220/230/460 V, 60 Hz, 3 Phase. Other voltages available upon request.
  • Control cabinet: .04" (0.1 cm) prefinished aluminum. Complete cabinet folds down for total accessibility to refrigeration unit. Add 4' (1.22 m) to length shown below for fold down clearance
  • Manway installed for internal inspection and ease in cleaning
  • Stainless steel nozzles and valves
Safety relief valve removed for shipment due to height requirements on 14-ton (12701 kg) and larger units. All CO2 storage units are manufactured using normalized SA-612 carbon steel plate.
